I survived monday...yup.
Aug. 4th, 2009 06:59 amWell, things were *special* at work...everything was just so *snowflake* its almost hard to describe...but I survived. Got some good comments from my dept manager and a light at the end of the tunnel for a new job. All in the plan. Got home late and I was exhausted but I sat my but down and had help from butterfly to finish the afghan. Mel even got a picture of his phone where she was ensconced on my lap, with the afghan, and had her paw out to "tension" my string for me. It worked out okay and I finished it and then threaded in all of the ends. I need to do that during every row change or so...it saves the 45 mins doing it. But I got it done...got a bite to eat and then headed to scribble.
I got 2 scrolls lined out and one of them callig'd and would have gotten the other one callig'd if I had a better hand-le on gothic littera bastarda. I've done it before...but not this small and its not natural like my version of early gothic which I can do in my sleep. So, I need to practice that scroll a few times before I actually commit it to the real paper. I got another scroll lined out while I pondered texts and that was it. We are seriously thinking of making Tati, the fastest painter in the West..cause wow! Though we are going to sucker her into calligraphy...muwhahaha!
Got home, had a protein shake, showered and snuggled in to read for a while. Not sure what it is but of late the bed has been extra comfy. I can snuggle down and read and snuggle and sleep. Yeah, wish I was still there but things to do today to pay the bills. Though I'd love to be at home working on calligraphy..that would be nice...and finishing my own personal afghan...but eh. Duty calls.
