Work has been busy...got lots to work on but a lot of it is waiting for decisions. I can wait I guess but I'd rather be cranking. Got done with work and then headed to the gym. The AC was acting on the fritz a bit so it was hot in the gym. I cranked out my ab work out and my biceps. I've come to realize that depending on what order I do things in makes things easier or harder. It neat to see but its also hard to gauge when I should be upping my weights or reps. Gonna have to chat with Bob about that. I got done and was very drained. Got home and mel was an awesome hubby and had dinner simmering on the stove. It was chix and veggies with rice and it was nummy.

I managed to wash work out clothes, do the dishes and pick up the kitchen a bit while watching bones and working on the blankie. I've got 2 more pattern repeats after this one (10 row pattern) and then it will be the edging. Not as far as I would like but my hands are tired by the end of the day and after lifting. Not to be helped by me slamming my right middle finger into a door jam yesterday walking into the bedroom while shaking my protein shake. Sighs. I couldn't get my ring on today and that was the suck.

One thing that was bugging me yesterday was an article on CNN (I think) that I now can not find. It talked about an oil gusher some where in early last century that we are still feeling the effects of...anybody see that or can help me locate it? I saw it and then didn't get to read it and really wanted to.

EDIT: Found what it was about Lakeview Gusher, and with a further indepth-ish report about the history here. Though I still can't find the article on CNN.

I've been sleeping poorly..not sure what that is about this week. I usually have no problems. I've had lots of tossing and turning and I think part of it is my right hand has been going numb....not sure why been trying to stretch it but it mostly when I'm sleeping..though by the end of the day its cold and weird. Pinched nerve somewhere. Time to get an ergo eval of my cube I think and lay off the pushups for a day or so. I'm trying to consistently hit the gym but I'm wondering if I'm not giving myself enough rest in between on things. Time will tell I guess.

Your result for The Steampunk Style Test...

The Scientist

54% Elegant, 86% Technological, 47% Historical, 32% Adventurous and 0% Playful!

You are the Scientist, the embodiment of steampunk’s academic side. Where other technological styles might emphasize the gadgets of the genre, you realize there is more to science than doohickeys and gears. Your accessories are medical bags, test tubes, measuring instruments, and academic papers. You are more likely to carry a compass, quadrant, or ether-attuned spectrometer than a wrench or welding torch. You probably carry a timepiece, and your prolific reading gives you every right to wear spectacles. Perhaps the most distinctive feature of your style is that it combines the frock coats and bustle gowns of the 19th century with the trappings of Victorian science.
