Tuesday rainy and relaxing
Oct. 6th, 2010 07:16 amWork wasn't too bad minus the 1 hour meeting that turned into 2 and me being the guinea pig for a new process. So new that folks are still trying to figure it out, yours truly included, and I get to bring everything back next week for the meeting. Sighs. And when I got back to my desk I find tickets in my inbox for travel to Arkansas for thursday. Looks like our vendor didn't break stuff after all and we might have parts ready to inspect friday. Its gonna be a late night though if we do but I hope it all works out.
Got home and mel was sick. He got himself a head cold while at his conference. We had leftovers in the fridge that he turned into soup while I headed to LA Fitness to check it out. Not a bad facilty. For as big as the place is on the outside its kinda crowded but its workable while Falcon Field is down for renovation and we got a sweet discount. I will be heading there tonight for a light work out and I know the hotel in Arkansas has a weight room too so I'll get two light days in this week. I'm not gonna push until next week to get back to where I was when I was hitting things hard in September...though its only been 3 weeks since I was in the gym due to travel and A&S. All good to get back on the wagon though.
Headed home by way of Safeway to pick up OJ and egg noodles. The OJ was for mel and the egg noodles for the soup. The soup turned out fabulous. Nummy. Leftover potroast, steak and veggies. Lovely. Mel worked on his socks and I worked on the market bag I started on Saturday. It was nice. Chatted with Joy for a bit about this and that and will hopefully see her and Brian at the hafla. So, all in all an odd but good day.
Tonight afterwork I'll hit the gym, come home and put on laundry and then head to knit night. All good.
