Monday...uffdha
Mar. 1st, 2011 07:30 amNow, it was not that monday was bad...it was just busy and exhausting. Work is getting tense with all of the stuff I'm finishing up. We had a situation with one of our suppliers go south, not unexpected, but still disappointing. We have a contingency plan but its still annoying but probably better off for all involved in the long run. I worked a 10 since I have so much electronic paperwork to get completed. All day long I worked hard and ended up late to every meeting because I kept loosing track of time. I stayed on task too so by the time I got home I was pretty tired. Mel made a wonderful al fresca pasta dish and we enjoyed eating dinner together and watching a bit of tv snuggled up on the couch. Mel also got good news on getting a mid year promotion and that is awesome.
I got the car seat mirror and the pad for under the car seat installed and then I headed to scribble. Mel was working on a project for investiture and needed no distractions. I managed to get more base painting done on the italian piece I'm working on. Ari did the fit check of the podling hat and it will fit a newborn for a little bit even if podling is a bit big.
Ari and Golda were working on searching for inspiration for a scroll and Sioux and I just painted. The kids were in good form drawing us pictures and in general it was good to unwind and paint. Got home and mel was having a frustrating evening. I walked into the shop and watched him have the board he was working on just break in half. Things did not go very well for him all evening. I got a shower and then made tea and had a protein shake. I had been hungry since dinner and podling was very happy about a late night snack. We sat on the couch with podling rocking around the tummy and I had my tea. Then it was time for bed. I didn't even read I was so tired. Mel got to bed and I was barely awake.
This morning I really wanted to stay in bed. I hope I can keep up the pace of yesterday but we shall see. Today is March 1st which is my Dad's b-day. He's 64 which means this is very appropriate.
So, here is to a good day for everyone.
