Tired Girl is Tired....
Jan. 24th, 2012 09:17 amI worked a pretty full day yesterday and then headed out to take Benton to the Doctor. He was crazy cute while at the office. He crawled all over the reception area and then tore apart the exam room by taking out all of the toys and books from the corner bin. Dr. McMahon was happy to see him being spunky. His lungs were clear and he had gone from 19 lbs 12 oz on Dec 27th to 21 lbs 6 oz yesterday. That is a lot of growth in a few weeks. (2 lbs 10 oz). No wonder he's been tired! Basically he is sick and we've been instructed to "keep an eye on it". She was happy that we did bring him in since mel is so sick. Speaking of the Mel, he is doing better...not great but better. The cough syrup is working well.
When I got home last night from the doc appointment Benton had fallen asleep. He snuggled up with mel on the couch while I got going on dinner. I got out some london broil and started in on an experiment with my Deep Covered Baker from Pampered Chef. I needed dinner quick and in less than 30 mins I had a pot full of beef tips with sweet potato gravy.
( Recipe for Quick Beef Roast )
Got dinner on the table and was eating when folks started arriving for scribble. Couple of folks brought food and it was a family kind of dinner for everyone. Then it was clean up and get to scribing.
I managed to talk fabric, sewing, jewelry, calligraphy and scribing last night. By the end my brain was shot. I was tired and just weary. Mel's cough was back so he took a bit more cough syrup and he quieted down pretty well after that.
This morning my brain is still reeling from all of the arts stuff..I'm inspired and realize my timeline on things coming up is tight. Oof. Lots to do before crown and Estrella.
