Crazy week and then a productive weeked.
Apr. 8th, 2013 09:46 amI was only in the office for a few hours on Wednesday and the full day Thursday due to Benton being out sick from daycare with a tummy bug. This was really the first time he had full on throwing up and diarrhea combos. He lost a bunch of weight too and when he finally got out of the funk of it late Friday he started eating everything in sight
We spent a lot of time watching cartoons in the mornings...not proud of that but well, he was very lethargic and it let me work almost full days. I wasn't feeling great but adults who got this bug tend to either get it full blown or just a bit sick. It was a very, very long week and I had a lot of things due at work. Mel was awesome and let me go off to knit night without much preamble. Friday we had planned on taking Benton to daycare but he was still just cranky. So he was home.
Thursday night I traveled to Mons to drop off fabric for Briget to make us clothes for MEF.

So Back to Friday.
I went out and got my hair cut and colored and then did a bit of shopping for things for me. Got home and had a nice evening home. I really like the color and the cut...its all silky black and ravenwing.
Saturday we were up and going kind of early. Benton was feeling better, a lot better and was hungry. Mel had made bread on Friday and the cranberry bread was faboo for toast. Benton and I headed to grocery shopping and got a bunch of food which was good cause we were so out of food. Noon arrived and folks arrived to make favors. The girls (
lferion,
ickaimp) vetoed my color choice and it turned out way better.
elinor_dear was the awesome ironing lady!
msgoldaalso helped out and we got 60 favors painted, 33/60 were inked and I figured out how we are beading them after almost everyone left. I worked on my sock too that night. Mel worked on the coolers and dyed our court bags with indigo. Seriously, I love the nuclear option for dyeing. Its spiffy.
Sunday was nice and I was even more productive. I made a comb case for my bone comb, made a pavona (3 paneled rus skirt) and then finished my sock plus made dinner and worked on dishes. Mel finished up the coolers minus leak checks, finished a piece of trim (broke his loom too!) and got a new pair of shoes. Plus we sat down and watched Rise of the Guardians that
ickaimphad dropped off when she grabbed the last of the favors that needed inking.

Benton spent most of the weekend being cute. His into pushing boundaries which is normal but it was a bit trying since he's still not sure how to communicate things to us. But its better and I was so happy to see the appetite I've been so used to back. He was eating constantly this weekend.
