Wacky Week
Feb. 8th, 2018 07:50 amSo, we won crown and unlike last time we are not in a PANIC that Estrella War is 2 weeks away and we need XYZ for being Prince and Princess. We are working on we have ABC for the household (food, camp projects, clothes for the boyo). So not too shabby, slowly easing in on things. Folks are excited, we are excited but we are taking it at a nice pace to get things how we want. Estrella will be busier than I had anticipated but that is okay. All good things.
On the work front things are jumping and I will probably be traveling tomorrow to a local i.e. in AZ supplier to see why they can't make things to print. An old boss had a spec he would reference MIL-TFD-41 which translates to Make It Like the Fricking Drawing For Once. Yeah.
So, busy and crazy and well there you go.
Highlights of this week....SpaceX launched their Falcon Heavy. I watched the launch live on a fluke and had my heart pounding like when I was a kid and watched shuttles go up live during school assemblies. I had the hair on my arms go up while I watched the almost synchronized landing of the outer boosters. I'm sad the core rocket had a failure and slammed into the ocean and amused by the Tesla in space. yes, it wasn't "cleaned" of microbes etc but Elon has always been all about thumbing his nose at the establishment. There is good or bad honestly. But we have soemthing large and not a small spacecraft heading around the sun on its way to Mars. We haven't done that in a while.
