Damn, I was hoping at being better at updating this....so since September....
1)We went to GWW, had issues and got apologies from an entire kingdom from their peers. That was fun.
2) Mel's mom had to have surgery, but this was good cause that means she didn't have an ostomy bag any longer!
3) Her surgery timed it so that Mel wasn't at Dragon's Horde so I made one of our fave musicians a Laurel without him.
4) We offered Ari her Pelican...that was fun.
5) I managed to do Inktober which was a new thing for me. It was tough but I managed. Going to try more drawing challenges in the new year.
6) Celebrated our 15 year wedding anniversary. Had a nice dinner out at Maynards and then drinks at the Distillery.
7) Worked on the secret squirrel project which was the 15th Century writing slope for Ari's elevation. Mel did the wood working, I did the calligraphy on vellum.
8) I made the clothes for our steppign down and while I did a fully hand sewn over dress for myself I managed to do really nice machine work on a lot of other pieces and I had everything done before the event.
9) We stepped down in a long court but it had lots of goodness. We got our duchies and had a large party that overwhelmed the hotel bar even though we warned them and everything. Other parts of that night were shitty and I'm still dealing with the consequences.
10) I no longer have a student...just my apprentice.
11) I was sick over coronation, lots of meds to breath and not drip and that continued through most of November. I took time off and tried to recover and work continued to blow up but we met all of the deadlines.
12) Thanksgiving was entirely low key...I couldn't handle anything else.
13) Work continues to kick my ass but I got back to the gym which is good. I need that to not have the brain weasels kill me.
14) I have 1 week left of work for the year....weird.
15) Our friend Don died of cancer and Hrafnheim helped host the wake/mead circle.
16) Attended the fancy Japanese work party and mel's beard got compliments by the company president
17) attended a small work function for the mess I had to fix and was a dork and called our program director by the completely wrong name. I'm an idiot. sighs.
18) finished my spectra shawl
19) Benton lost his front top teeth and he lisps...its cute.
20) Transmission in the van is failing and its just out of warranty. Why does this feel like 2005 with my truck?
