Oh Really?????

 At work I'm taking a job one level up the hierarchy on my program and my electrical equivalent is taking one with program management. That means our jobs are open. I already got my former deputy lead in as my position but they just posted the official reqs for my job as having a pay grade above me.  When I took this job I was a paygrade below where I am now...so why am I not that paygrade after busting butt for 4 years and now moving up? I sarcastically pointed out I'd like some back pay for all of this work I was doing at a paygrade above to my chief engineer and he was like...huh, yeah that isn't really fair is it?  And he said he would be talking with my dept manager.

Then I got a kudos personally on IM from a senior VP for something I did that they didn't know just knew my name was in the pay stuff....this week is so bizarre.
