Last week was exhausting for the work side, I wasn't enthused about packing for our trip but managed to get things done by 11pm the night before we left. The cats traveled okay. Spicy was more whiney this time but I think that was more that she was bored. Willow whined her normal amount and Tasha was non-plussed about it all. They are enjoying running around the house, watching bird and bug TV. Becca Rob and teh kids arrived about 30 mins after us which was nice. We were all dog tired and ended up having Taco johns for dinner, didn't do grocery shopping, and had beer relaxing and crafting. We all slept in on Sunday cause reasons and the adults were slow to do anything. Becca and I managed to start to town at about 1230pm. We hit joanns cause guess who forgot her SCA pants for the camping event we are going to in a week or so? So we got fabric and got things to make a sewing kit here. One cause I moved the 1951 machine here and two cause I forgot my travel sewing kit and three mom's sewing box was last used in the early 1980s. Though she did put every single button she ever got from any clothing into the box....so now we have a small grandma button stash.

After joanns we hit Ace hardware for a few things including a waffle maker for the house. We then headed to Costco and did two trips there. the first was for computer monitors, camp cots, and camping sundries. Then we grabbed hot dog lunch and ate it on the bumper of the van with the gate up for shade. Then it was into for the food. Which was not too much in strife. they had different things than we are used to and we forgot a few things but we have limited storage with teh fridge here and I have not plugged in the coffin freezer so it will be fine. The unfortunate thing is the highway between here and the quick to get to small town with amenities is closed. That road needs it but oof that is a PITA. Especially with the hardware store. That Ace is nice and has almost everything we've needed in the past but the boys will just have to either take the weird detour or head to Sioux Falls.

I'm working on knitting an emotional support chicken. The pattern is wonderfully written and I pulled lots of stash yarn to make it colorful. Mel, Becca and I all brought 7 spindles for our trip each. Lol. spinners gonna spin. Plus I brought my wheel so I plan do to some spinning but need to get fabric washed and cutout to get those pants done. Lol. But plenty to do.

The house did well overwinter but the dishwasher may have finally died. The boys are looking at it today and to replace faucet in the kitchen which we had figured out was leaking late last summer. The boys will also be replacing door screens for the patio with aluminum mesh so the cats don't go thru and maybe some of the windows too. I have a few hours to make up to be able to take off Friday and I have plenty of work to do that so hardworking mornings with coffee will be my jam tomorrow and Wednesday. Today was slow cause I was setting things up and realized I did not have a few things to make my life easy. That is okay. amazon order was placed.

The weather is glorious and we've had light rain and cool 60s this morning. The boys are playing in the big garage during the rain since I'm in the downstairs at the big desk. I have the patio doors open and a lovely breeze. so its nice to have the house open and relaxing while I work.
