Busy weekend at the Pi House!

Mel left about 1230 for Potrero and I had the house to myself. I ran errands all afternoon that included trying to get my ring set (failure), getting a pedicure, getting a nummy iced white moca, getting my hair cut and getting home to change clothes and head out to nimbus. Things were bustling and we had a good time. Their Red chilli burro was delicious and the conversation was good. Sitting up in the balcony was a lark. Then headed out to see PoTC III. Long ass movie but good. Not what I expected at all but still fun. Good music. Got home and went to bed pretty quickly after.


Got up early and did 8.5 miles. Got home and started in on the cutting of fabric. Monkey came over and we cut more stuff out. I finally got to sewing in the early evening while richard made us Pasties and we drank bruised pear's. We watched The Quiet Man and then everyone went home. I stayed up watching Kill Bill but ended up hitting the hay about midnight. Didn't sleep very well again but better than the night before. I need to replace the fan..I think the white noise was good.


Again got up early and biked 10.5 miles, was starving the whole time. Got home and begged Richard to head to breakfast with me at joe's. Had a nice time there. Continued on the sewing binge as richard worked on welding. CJ came over in the late afternoon and did some research. I got more sewing accomplished. Had pasties for lunch and the last of the post roast for dinner. Folks went home earlish and I stayed up and watched Hex...though I did not get caught up. Look like I had made it about 2/3 of the way through the 1st season. I need to look up what happened. I slept slightly better but the cats were pushing me around the bed. Butterfly slept all day long the entirety of Sunday.


Repeat bike ride but wasn't starving. I ate a bannana and before the ride and that was uber helpful. Got home and cleaned up things a bit, made coffee and had Bacon and tomato sammiches for breakfast. I continued sewing and got all of the machine sewing done just before Gwen and Dietrich showed up with the loom and spinning wheel(this is the atenveldt Gwen and Dietrich, not to be confused by the Midlands versions.) The loom was set up in the front room, they left with a check and some pretty granite for beadmaking tables. I was able to continue with handsewing and watching Doctor Who and Kim Possible. CJ came over to help me with the pant pleats and mel got home about 3pm. Richard spent all day out welding and getting dirty. Cousin Curran stopped by about 4pm. Andrew came over for kung fu and had to leave due to a flat tire. We hung out while mel spun some of the blue wool that Gwen had left and he got it down to almost as fine as his drop spindle. CJ left after getting all of the pleats pinned and Richard did a quick shower and we all headed out to dinner at Sweet Tomatoes. Nummy salad and mac and cheese. Got home and continued sewing. I was able to finish my underdress. So, all good. Headed to bed early and slept okay. Still took me quite a while to fall asleep but I did okay.


To Do List of Projects this Week
1) Put straps on new viking
2) Fix red viking'
3) Finish 2 pair of mel's wool pants (70% completed)
4) Put finish neck on mels' orange tunic
5) Finish trim and neck on mel's blue tunic
6) Finish neck and all hems on my ME undershirt
7) Finalize class docs and print for Saturday
8) Get cooking entry documentation roughed out
9) Finish roughing out bone for accessories piece.
10) Go to U of A library and pull resources found.


So far today has been busy and I have 30 mins to get my tasks listed for the day and get things organized. I seem to have left things in a bit of a disarray. Oops. Oh, well.
