Okay so far 4th

Awoke way later than planned but got an okay bike ride in (at mile 7 asthma kicked into hyperdrive) and then breakfast at joes. Got home, showered and then headed to performance cycle to look at bikes (forgot wallet so couldn't do much more than look) and then we hit the dojo for 40th Year Tourneys. We sat and watched for a while and then headed to joanns were I got a nice embroidery book. Got home, had left overs for lunch and grabbed wallet and went to get bikes.

I ended up choosing This Fuji and Mel got This Fuji. Luckily everything was on uber sale and we got an extra 10% so yeah...good deals. My bike came to $764..mel's was way more but its what he wanted after test driving 3 bikes. We got a bunch of accessories and stuff as well so it was an expensive 3 hours. Mel biked home from the shop while I took mine home in the car. Stopped off at fry's for a few essentials like ice for the keg raider and stuff for dinner. All good. I will be working on glass stuff tonight and might try to put in a ride this evening when it gets cooler...but I might just wait until tomorrow. Its very tempting to go out now though. Hmmm...I need to wait until after dinner for my kiln to warm up...hmmmm....

I'll decide in a few. Might just take it around the 4.5 mile block. Anywhooo...off to do stuff.

EDIT 520pm I did 2 miles and averaged 12.2 mph due to speed bumps but topped out at 20.4 mph...in a school zone. Snerk. Woot!

Just a little warning (coming from experience). Tucson cops will pull you over and write you a ticket for speeding on a bicycle. I hit about 35 (going downhill) through a school zone and they threw the book at me as an example.

Sweet bikes! Might have to get a similar one to Mel's once I get in more riding shape, though I'm starting off pretty well on my hybrid mountain bike.

Yeah, I know about the speeding thing...I will be careful in school zones..cause now I know how fast I can go.
