Saturday and Sunday

Well, I didn't get things to the point where I'm happy but well, things got worked on at least. I made good progress on HRM Ed's coat. I have 2.5 things left to embroider and they take me about two hours or so a piece. I basically worked on Richard's coat and the embroidery saturday. My fingers gave out about 8pm and we watched movies (Balls of Fury and Hott Fuzz). Got up on Sunday a bit late and mel and I headed to Millie's Pancake Haus for a change. The weather was dreary and the restaurant was nice and warm. The food was good and then we walked around the art galleries a bit before heading home. I loaded up the dvd player and started in on embroidery at 1115am. I worked on it until 6pm, got pizza, ate and then worked until 9pm. I had my fingers taped up just to prevent them from splitting out. Mel spent the day casting brass which got me a bit allergy itchy. I took some benedryl, had a shower and then read a bit while I was waxing my hands. (parafin wax dips are so good). I slept great except that mel and the girls were trying to push me off the bed. I coped and slept in one spot but it was nice and comfy. The girls were warm and purry most of the night and that was good. Got going this AM pretty well and I've finally gotten through all of the email from friday. I have a class to go to in a bit and then it should be an okay afternoon.

Plans for tonight include more embroidery, shopping for capri suns, handing off some scribal stuff and possibly painting on mel's scroll. We shall see.

I had my fingers taped up just to prevent them from splitting out.

Oh, god I'm DUMB. I have this sore spot on my one finger because it's where the embroidery floss always hits when I tug on each stitch to make sure it is tight. If I'd thought for ONE FREAKING SECOND to stop and tape my finger, it wouldn't hurt today. Dork = me!

In my defense, I totally zone out while stitching. I know that there were movies on TV all day yesterday, but I couldn't tell you a damn thing about either The Scorpion King (other than Here There Be Cheese) or The Exorcism of Emily Rose. I didn't really think about anything until I came up for air around 6pm and realized that (a) it was time to study and (b) .

yeah..tape is good..or bandaids.. I think I'm just gonna permatape them for a few days and then take it off on thursday. Course if all goes well, I might be done with the embroidery tomorrow and then its just normal handwork.
