What are your thoughts on acquiring material for the padding of armor? One of the fellows up here advised picking up a sleeping pad from Walmart, and I have in fact done so, but the more I look at it, the more dubious I am about it's use as impact padding.
They were advising it as the padding for all occasions. I've purchased some plastic barrel armor, and have to pad it, and I'll soon be acquiring a helmet from Chivalry Sports, and shall have to pad it, as well.
The blue foam is okay for helmet padding...you'll have to figure it out for yourself. I don't use it entirely for the helmet, I also use a layer of open cell...but I've also had a number of concussions and a sensitive sinus in my forehead...so I like to be comfy.
