So,here is what I decided to put in my handout...(I'm putting average prices on things and I did put an alternate to Arms and Armour... since it is on average if you can find it about $90.
9. General Medieval History Book:
• George Holmes. The Oxford History of Medieval Europe. Oxford University Press, 2002. (≈$10-20)
• Morris Bishop. The Middle Ages Mariner Books, 2001 (≈$10-20)
• Maureen Keen. The History of Medieval Europe. Penguin, 1991. (≈$10-20)
• Colin McEvedy. The New Penguin Atlas of Medieval History: Revised Edition.Penguin,1992(≈$10-20)
Of, course, all of this searching made me realize that I needed to buy books...so I did.
scribe_ari I got more on embroidery and specifically on goldwork...squee!
That just leaves one book left to put on the "general knowledge list" and I'm thinking that the Knowne World Handbook will probably be it. Its dated but it has such good information for lots of things. Anybody have any other suggestions?
I'm making myself move my arm...the swelling needs to go down...gah.
