does the base adequately hold the items that will be sitting on it? as in if it were to stay flat, which it wont, but if it did. would the items to be put in it sit together neatly as if on a plate. If so, it is big enough. I would imagine a lunch sack would need to hold the footprint for a sandwich or bento box, a small thermos, and an apple. The depth of the sack should allow for the height of the tallest expected item, prolly the thermos, plus whatever overlap is required for the expected closure.
