These were a favorite thing that my Great Aunt Alma made...so good!

1 (6 oz.) pkg. Semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 (6 oz.) pkg. Butterscotch morsels
Place sugar & corn syrup in pan, stir to combine.
Cook over medium heat until boiling. Remove from heat.
Add peanut butter, mix well. Add Special K cereal & stir well.
Press mixture evenly & firmly into buttered 9 x 13 inch pan.
Melt chocolate & butterscotch morsels together in the
microwave & stir well. Spread evenly over cereal mixture.

Date: 2009-07-24 06:48 pm (UTC)Where my adopted father and I came up with the EVIL idea of taking my strawberry topped cream pie and converting it into a butterscotch turtle type of goodness using a chocolate grahmcracker crust instead.... mixing butterscotch with the cream base and then either doing a layer of the chocolate, nuts, carmel/butterscotch on top - or doing a swirl of that goodness through it...
Will prolly be testing out on his family in a few weeks when the chief bro in law from NY comes out. (four sets of hips other than mine to hold the weight?!) If it works out right, expect it to show up at your place one of these days.
