Spinning most of the weekend

Well, the weekend was busy but it was fruitful. It was the final few days of the Tour de Fleece. On Saturday I still had 3 ounces of fiber to spin and then to ply up all 5 ounces. I have to admit that the corriedale wasn't my best spinning but I was more consistent I think. The 2 ply yarn ended up being 12 wpi which is a good worsted weight yarn. I'm good with that. I still need to calculate how much yardage I have and see what I'm going to make with it. The colors kinda muddied out when I plied but we shall see. So, here is all of the corriedale plied up and then all of my yarn I made for the tour.

Mel got a lot of corriedale and the gotlandic wool all spun up and plied...his is thin and pretty and well, mel perfect. I hope to start really putting more twist into my yarn...just need to work on that. I'm just happy that I was able to spin a lot and to make yarn that I know I can use for something really nice. I just need to practice way more. But I think it will be more knitting first and then spinning here and there.
I was also in charge of watching
scribe_ari's house and fur kids. Everything went really well including giving the old lady cat, Ms Gypsy, her oral medicine. Luckily she likes me a lot and I snuggled with her and petted her and then gave her her meds and that seemed to work out well. The birds were very cute and very appreciative when I opened the shades for them. Heck the cats were happy that I turned out on the cat tv (ie the great out of doors).
I also managed make some more cupcakes and bring them into work. So far everyone is really happy with them. LOL.
Benton was very cute this weekend. He took his naps and played a lot. We even had him (once) roll over from his front to his back. I also got a bit of video of him giggling that is so cute.
This week its all about some knitting and cleaning up my studio. Seriously, it needs to get done so I can sew. I'm getting distracted by other stuff. I need to get sewing for MEF and for fighting stuff. I think part of my issue is that I'm not in a sewing mood and I'm not sure if the clothes I'm making will continue to fit me when they should. Its a baffling concept but annoying all of the same. I worry that I'll make the clothes and then a month later they will be too large. Its just annoying but I guess I shouldn't be complaining. Its just hard to not look like ass when the clothes are falling off of you. Well, electronic paperwork continues.
