I made my sleeve frills super heavy, and rather than argue with the sleeve poufs at the shoulder, which were being pulled down from the weight of the overwrought cuffs (heh) I just added a plain sleeve cap to the inside of the puffs. That put all of the weight on the sleeve cap, and allowed the puffs to stay puffed. If you have problems with your puffs (which you should not, you have a single layer of cuff), that may be something to consider.
