Woohoo!!!! Achievement Unlocked!

I finished my CCC project with TIME TO SPARE!!!!!!!!! WOOOHOOOOO!!!!

This was not me sitting in my car the morning of the event sewing on loops for buttons after doing a 22 hour straight sewing binge and having the crown calling me incessantly to finish up. This was me working a few hours a day and getting things done on a schedule and finishing up the night before just after dinner and then taking my time to style a photo shoot and hand in the documentation and edited photographs.


Super fun and super comfy though I was getting hot sitting in the sun. It was 63F and we didn't have a lot of wind so warm but I love it. I felt very fancy and its all entered and ready for judging.

Yeah everyone was like "why plaid??" I can write an entire paper on the amount of plaid that was worn. So many grave finds. Spinning enough yarn for a project of all the same color? Even if you have multiple sheep of different colors?

Its so happy and cheerful. I Have plans for another one in black or in a multi-stripe. We shall see.

I know checks, stripes, twill, tabby, chevron and assorted woven patterns existed across period. I wasn't apprenticed to Thora Sharptooth for nothing! lol


I just wasn't sure how the checkered layer would work visually with the other layers. I should have trusted your vision.
