Well, Friday's work was easier than Thursday. I managed to get most of my old cube packed up and sorted and got my task list updated, cross referenced etc for my replacement. That actually took me a few hours but its good and done and I need to do that for the new job too...or have Justin do that for me so I have a list to go off of. Anyhoo, it was a good 6 hours of work and I had to solve an issue on the floor. I forgot my safety shoes and had to wear the clipclops but it was taken in well with my I (guy in armor) Gulf Wars shirt. Left and headed home where I got a snack and then snuggled up on the couch to watch tv and crochet for a while. I ended up getting sucked into a nap with the cats but that was okay too. I got some of the detritus from Gulf Wars put away and had a game plan for Saturday. Got up on Saturday and got going on the purge. I got the front room mostly cleaned up though still more to go but I got all of the medieval library shelves redone, reshelved and cleaned off. I'm not allowed to buy anymore stuffed animals. Seriously. I also catalogued all of the books we had bought at Estrella and Gulf and got more music loaded on my iPod/iPhone since I found music I had had been looking for.

I finished about dinner time when I grilled for all of the woodworkers (mel, richard, frodi and wander), I even managed to do pantry kung fu to make cous cous though we were out of nellie and joes lime juice. So sad. Had dinner and then relaxed with folks and watched TV and worked on the afghan. I've got about 7 inches left before I start the edging. Mel was busy with richard that day getting all of the wood for his woodworking bench. The got 6in thick boards and used almost every clamp in the shop and some more they had to buy to laminate it all together. Thank goodness we buy Titebond 3 in gallon size.

Sunday we got up and had breakfast at joes. Then we headed to the Tucson Museum of Art Art/craft fair. It was nice this year and I picked up a pair of earrings and mel bought some books at the book sale. I almost bought a shrug/shawl at the Tucson Spinners and Weaver's Guild but I think I want them to teach me how to make it. Or, if it didn't sell, I'll talk to them about it get it and still learn to make one. We shall see.

After that we headed walked around the presidio, hit the 17th Street Market and then Safeway. Mel was tired and chilly all day. He took a nap and woke up with a fever. He was pretty much out of commission the rest of the day. So, I worked on my studio with Wander's help and made a spicy lentil and bacon soup. He ate a bunch of that and got his temp up which was good and I made sure he snuggled down into bed with an extra wool blanket. All good. He's home today and I hope that helps him recover quickly.

Wander and I made good progress on my studio and I ended up purchasing drawers versus bins for my fabric and my stash. I picked up the larger drawers for my stash and the smaller ones for fabric. We managed to get rid of one or two bins entirely and I'm going to go get more drawers this week to finish the job and move some stuff around the studio...like mel's stash. Drawers in the closet would be good for that too. So, the purge is going. Its not done but I figure by the end of next weekend things should be hunky dory. I got 2 large bags of clothes already ready for good will and will soon have two boxes of stuff. I also have a tub of fabric to give away and a tub of clothes to give to the chatelaine. All good. Mel has to go through his stuff in the closet as well but things are looking more picked up. We also have to get the back of the family room set again too and put new shelving in the fireplace areas. We took the old stuff down and maybe in the next week we can get nice shelves up to put all of our knickknacks up on for display. All good though. I will probably be continuing the purge tonight during scribble...we shall see how much time I have after work. I want to pick up more drawers and we'll have to see how much time I'll have.

We shall see what the day brings.
