So Monday I woke up and my right shoulder was aching....Then Monday night I had wicked ass knots all through it and my back. It still continues...my next scheduled massage is the 8th. So I've been massaging it myself, having DH do it, biofreezing it and coping. yeah, not my fave. I'm sure it has something to do with driving, spinning, too much crochet in the last week or I pulled something sleeping goofy. I keep waking up and my right hand is behind my head, gripping the underside of the headboard....I haven't done that since I was nursing...

Additionally, my asthma has flared but I'm not sure if its due to the muscles being goofy or the weather change? We have gotten a crap ton of rain and are currently sitting on the last day of the month with the 2nds wettest June on record in Tucson with more storms going today. My head is fuzzy from everything and all of the pressure changes. Its only supposed to be 89F today which will be chilly and the office is COLD. So cold the guys are complaining. Luckily I have a shawl.

I'm sure that is not helping the lungs at all. So we shall see. I do need to get back to the doc though since my asthma has flared and I probably need to get a scrip for a new inhaler settled. Course I need to get Ben allergy tested since he's still coughing and I'm sure he has coughing asthma like his momma. Le sigh....I had hoped he'd not get that. Unfortunately, he coughs so hard he almost pukes or does puke which is not pleasant for anyone, poor kiddo.

So, tonight will be working on the final baby gift, washing the other baby gifts and relaxing....Friday we work..le suck but I shall cope.

Work was work....I'm in the middle of some drafting mess and trying to fix things that the system has rejected. Yay fun. I was exhausted when I got to pick Ben up at the dojo....he'd had a good day and I made dinner of alaskan pollock burgers (thank you BOGO at costco) and brown sugar carrots. Ben liked the fish and the tortilla I served with it but did not like the carrots. Weird. I thought it was very tasty.

Got him a shower, texted for help to get cat litter from ashley since we were more than out...icky bathrooms are icky. Got Ben settled for bed, he read me the first page of the book we were reading (yay!) and settled myself in to watch Deadpool with Ashley and get projects done.

I managed to get Janelle's gift fully done (just needs a washing or 3) and got the gift for Brad done except for washing/felting. I'm really liking the elephant blanket. And now tonight will cast on for the ragdoll cat I'm making Julia for her podling.
Finished Presents

We were up late and my side that has been killing me (pulled/knotted muscle in the back under the shoulder blade) wasn't any better after the shower. I forced myself to sleep on it to get it to stretch out after heat/biofreeze/ibuprofen and its still stiff to day but better.

Tonight will be knit night and i'm looking forward to seeing folks.

Not sure what PTB I managed to irk but while dealing with a grumpy-ish Benton (way tired and stuffed to the gills with dinner) I cut my finger filling the bathtub. yes, you read that right...I cut my finger filling the bathtub.

It seams there was a broken off tine from a metal bristle brush embedded in the bath mat that I was washing off while the water was getting to temperature and I ran my left hand across it and got a heck of a good v-cut that then bled everywhere and I managed to blood splatter the wall and the sink and the floor of the bathroom while trying to get it dealt with. It managed to bleed for quite a while and only stopped after I bandaged it for a while. Its pretty ouchy today. So that slowed me down after mel was kind enough to start the bath again for the boy and get him into it to splash around. I was a good wife and made him dinner and then got to giving the boy a bath one handed and into bed with mel being a good dad and distracting him from being a rolly-polly boy on the changing table.

BTW, what do you do when the kid is too long for the changing table...let his feet hang off? Things I ponder....

After he was in bed I kinda sat for a while with a finger that stung and then got out my spinning and starting in on the last ounce of Falkland. It went okay but I had to stop due to the finger about half way through. I then sat down and worked on the ratty amigurimi a bit. He's turning out very cute.

Ratty )

Since I started on things late I was still stitching away at his first ear and having to follow the directions to kitchener the toe shut. I never remember the steps and have to pull out my book each time.

Oh, well, I hope to finish him up at the officer's meeting tonight or when I get home from the meeting. We shall see.

Well, monday happened. yeah. I'm not sure what I did yesterday...lots of paperwork and reading but it was a weird day. I got home and Benton was cranky. Mel finally figured out that he just wanted some company on the floor. He was very happy and sleepy but it was too late to have a nap before bedtime so we coped. He was basically almost asleep when the scribes started arriving. No painting happened on the big scroll but the final sketching of the floral border was completed by Sioux and [livejournal.com profile] ickaimp. Its faboo. i sketched a few things that Ari later inked and it was a good night. All of us were crazy tired so folks left at 930pm. I got things settled in the house and was in bed by 1030pm.

Benton decided that 445am was wake up time. Mel was awesome and gave him his binky. He was still loud and cooing but he went to sleep just after I got up for the day. Crazy boy. Not sure what is up with that but I guess we just get to deal. Just crazy.

Also, my hand has been okay. Its now really sore on the back of the wrist and then I go an bang it on the door jam of my bathroom. I had gotten out of the shower and my foot was still wet and I slipped on the tile. Grump. Very sore and achey and I forgot my wrap to help support it.

Oh, well, stuff to do...

Well, I wanted way more sleep...but I didn't get it cause of this silly work thing. Eh. Got going, got me the last of the blueberry numminess from Shanda for breakfast and got a bowl of nummy bean and ham soup for lunch. I drive to work and heading down the access road and my right contact floats to somewhere in my eyeball. Cut for the squeamish )

So I'm now enjoying breakfast and coffee and hope that the rest of the day doesn't go how it started. Left work yesterday after being very productive and headed to allergy testing. They do it differently at this office. They use your arm and do it in two sessions. I'm glad I could zone out with the ipod since things got itchy quick. I have a pollen problem...yeah, go figure. After the first round, they then inject you with various concentrations of each thing you reacted to on the first set of panels...in my case that was about 20-30 injections. Again, happy to have my ipod. I got home and curled up on the couch and snuggled down for a while. I wasn't feeling very good. Did get up, get the front room picked up, work on my armor and get dinner. I got all of the straps on and just need to thin them down to fit on the buckles which I can do that tonight after I put the placard on the front. So I should have the harness out tonight for a trial run....so after nine years of fighting..I've got my 3.5 version kit. (there is a half there since I re-did the lamellar for a front closure.) Kinda cool.

So, now its time to dig into things and let my artistic mind wander on banners and the like. I need to get those designed before Saturday so I can do them on Sunday. I know have a bit of inspiration on that...but why does my husband have too long of a motto? Seriously.

I did get things accomplished at work. Had a nice lunch with peter at Kyoto Bowl and then kinda just suffered most of the day with the pain. It not sharp but dull achey annoying pressure. Didn't call glenn cause he was at his wilcox office. I'm going to today cause I fear that the sternum popped sometime this weekend. I got home and snuggled up on the floor. Mel was a pathetic lump on the couch. I dozed for a while propped up on my tummy to get some of the pressure off. It kinda worked. I then snuggled up on the couch while he did laundry. He was feeling better and had had some toast but was still pretty weak. We watched CSI all night and I read my book. I'm about 10 pages from finishing but I was tired. I managed to heat up my heat pack and set that on my chest and that allowed me to snuggle up on my side to sleep. Obsidian woke us up around the 3am hour crying horribly. I think mel threw a sock at her. He took the truck into work today. Which made me glad. I hope food does okay with him today. I'm gonna make curry when I get home for the BFC meeting which should be good for all of us. Here is hoping to a better day.

Monday work slugged on. I was very uncomfortable all day...my chest is, well not hurting but aching to the point of feeling that I have a weight on my chest at all times. I ended up leaving about 45 mins early. I got home, changed into biking clothes and tumbled into a somewhat restful slumber. I can only sleep on my back right now and that is annoying since I'm a side sleeper. Ugh. Mel got home about an hour later and his tummy had been all ucky all day. He still decided that he needed to do kung fu. yeah, he's smart sometimes. Got back and he looked very, very green. I had gone on my bike ride while kung fu was happening and then I got the house cleaned up and was ready with coffee etc when folks started arriving. We had a fun time going through the history of meg's stuff that she was getting rid of. I got a few things for gift baskets. Then we got down to scribbling. I finished That 70's scroll and we had a good time. Got to bed and realized that sleeping was going to suck but I read for a while and finally resigned myself that it was more uncomfortable to be on my side than on my back.

I awoke this morning in lots of ache...seriously..can we just rip out my chest and replace it with cybernetics...I would feel better. I think I can last the day but Ibuprofen is gonna be my mistress for the long haul it seems. Ugh. Not actually sure if either of us will make it to practice. I want mel to stay home but I'm sure that will be a fight. I think I might have to hit him with the "you're going to protrero in 3 days" speech. Dunno. I have fabric and clothing to wash and sewing machines to move around. I think I will get myself set up for the frenzy...wait..I can't do that until thursday due to the baronial financial committee meeting....hmmm..well I think I can just pull stuff and put it at the end of the tables.

I need to stop thinking about what I want to do versus what I need to do...its actually affecting my work right now. Course I don't feel good and I'm sure that is part of it. Annoying but true.

Can't wait to see [livejournal.com profile] genkadin and [livejournal.com profile] karzboi's baby today or tomorrow. Keep them in your prayers about 1pm today. Well, I need to shove to...
