Cause [personal profile] danabren whined Spicy is still very Spicy and she's bigger and loves to snuggle on Ivan when he's playing video games but comes to me for snuggles and pets. She runs around like crazy all the time and barely stops to eat. We have to keep an eye on the food though cause Tasha likes the kitten crunchies and Willow likes the gooshy. Neither of them should have it either since they are on prescription food. Sighs. So I have a small nerf gun in the living room to shoot the cats when they try to sneak in to the food. And if you leave the room, Willow is right there. Spicy is very non food motivated which you would think since she was a starving feral she would be but she's not. So we just have to keep an eye and make sure she eats at least a can of goosh a day. I know she's eating the girls food but that is not nutritionally good for her as her own food. But she eats when she's hungry.

She is made of springs and loves to climb all sorts of things like the curtains and your leg.

Henry got a good swipe and bite from her cause he was not playing nicely and he deserved that. Kids need to learn how to play with pointy things and sometimes they have to learn the hard way. I'm not at all mad at the cat...he was being an utter pest.

I see my doc today for the yearly physical I have my list of things to talk about...1) brain meds reduction, 2) ankle, 3)some skin issues, 4)hormones and ageing cause how do I know i'm in perimenopause when I'm still on meds to prevent pregnancy and its stops my cycle. I don't want to stop my birth control but I need to probably be getting it replaced.

...a few hours later...

got back form the doc and 1) brain meds reduced with a check in in 6 weeks, 2) asthma meds reduces, 3) skin issues aren't really an issue, 4)need to schedule my IUD replacement...need to check to see if my fave midwife is still working where I want to go, 5) ankle I need to find a doc and 6) hemmeroids are a thing I guess.

We didn't talk hormones yet since I want to get the upper on my progesterone from the IUD and see how I regulate with that and a lower dose of my lexapro and asthma meds. So progress. Oh and I got my flu shot.

When last I wrote I was in the slog before Estrella. It was a slog through Estrella as well but I coped. So, I painted on a scroll...some of my best painting to date. I'm very proud of the skys in this. The fun and not fun thing we had to do was match a scroll we did 6 years prior. My paint palette had changed a bit and we had different people working on the scroll....That one had 4 people paint on it while this one was me with a tidge of help from Poe on the faces and ferrets. I did everything else for painting and detail. It took me a really long time. I watched all 4 Indiana Jones movies, Black Panther, Thor: Ragnorok, Antman and the Wasp and a few other movies. I sit and paint with the iPad showing Netflix. Pretty nice to sit and listen and watcher here and there. So, matching a scroll for size, elements and paint colors from quite a while ago was a feat but it turned out nice. The only sewing I did for the entirety of Estrella was making the scroll enclosure to have the matching set presented at court.

When it was presented at Grand Court...there was the big whoa! from the crowd so I think we did good. I got a coin from HRM of Drachenwald for my work. Which was unexpected.

So album of the scroll in progress. You can see the matching scroll in the pictures in reference, click the picture to get to the album.

So the rest of Estrella was kind of a mess....literally. It started raining and didn't really stop and things flooded like our tent, all of our tents but Bentons. It was sticky, Poe saved us by getting rainboots for all and other awesomeness. We had to push our trucks and trailers out of the mud which involved the strong folks of our crewe looking like hooligans and showing that all my training at Impact has helped. Since Dom and I left Mel in the dust when we were pushing and running cause is legs gave out. We weren't even winded.

So a smattering of photos:

Just a crazy time. it was the longest tear down we've had and a lot of things just got thrown out. The mud was invasive and yuck. We spent the weekend after cleaning tents and equipment and our personal stuff is still in work on the porch almost a month later. The war tested us as a household and we survived and have stories to tell for a long time. It was not the war I expected or wanted but it is what we got.

Since then I've been working on the next scroll (knighting scroll for Wolfgrim) and working out. Results have been good. I'm down some where in the 12-15 pound range and am loosing inches all over. I've got an album so you can see the progress if you are a Friend of mine on Flickr or have this link: The Body. So that is happening and I feel good about it. My scale is showing the slow and steady progress. My mental health has also been good which has also been a bonus.

Also, after Estrella we got KITTENS!!! They are Natasha (Tasha) and Will'o'wisp (Willow) and are cute as all get and are trouble all over but we are certain they are muppets.

So life is okay....just busy. Benton turns 8 on Thursday and I'm kinda freaked out by that but I think I'm okay....
