Well, Mr. Benton was a crankypants again last night. Mel and I finally figured out that he's got another tooth that poked through on the top. Now like me when I got teeth its not in the gumline but behind it which makes things just more fun.

Well, yesterday we figured out that Mr. Benton is teething...which was giving him a fever. Mel removed his helmet on Wednesday night to help him get his temp down but we ended up dosing him at 1am when he woke up crying. Poor little guy. So we sat up with him for a bit, tried to get him to eat but he nursed just a bit and then we put him down to sleep. One thing that was cute though was that Butterfly had just brought him in a sock to his room and when I went in to check on him she put her paws up on the crib to look in and see if he was okay. AWWWW.

This morning his fever was gone but he was still pretty sore. I gave him another 1/2 dose of tylenol and we headed to daycare. He was back to playing and smiling. I called and checked on him and I guess he took a 3 hour nap today but ate good so that is a good thing.

So, we shall see how this weekend goes.

So, I'm feeling better but still not 100%. Course I'm not sure when I'm every going to feel 100% while still nursing Mr. Benton so I guess I'm about 75% now...maybe a bit less. Mr. Benton has been cranky. The helmet is going okay but he is out of sorts. Not sure if its the helmet or if he's fighting off getting sick but he's been a bit lethargic (long naps at daycare) and not really crawling around like he had been over the weekend. Admittedly, its harder to see where he is going with the helmet. I'm also wondering that since he's a bit warmer its just making him sleepy. I remember Mel falling asleep in the Audi due to the heated seats being on full blast and we thought he was getting sick. So its probably a big combination of things. Lots of change all at once I guess. We shall see. If he's not back to normal by Friday I'll call the doctor.

With the scrollage being done I'm back to knitting. I have Mr. Benton's sweater to finish up and the third time is a charm and its been knitting up quite nicely. I do need to get a longer circular needle for it today so its easier to work on. I hope its large enough. I was looking through pictures today and am amazed at how big Benton has gotten. He's chubbed up a lot in the last week or so. I'm betting we are getting ready for another growth spurt which could also be adding to the mix of out of sorts behavior.

Well, that is about it...luckily Benton has been sleeping pretty well with the helmet on. He only got up at 1am last night versus 3am. Which I much prefer since its not in the middle of REM sleep. The nice thing is he goes right back to sleep with a binky and a snuggly blanket so that is good. I just hope he gets back to normal soon. I do not like having cranky lethargic baby.

EDIT 12:30pm
Richard reminded me...Benton in his helmet!

It doesn't show the cute turtle with a jetpack on the back..I'll have to get a shot of that.

Also, Daycare called twice cause they were also concerned by his behavior. After talking with them and them experimenting the verdict is TEETHING!!! He's cutting a tooth on the lower right side. Which completely explains why he keeps sticking his hand in his mouth and pulling on that side and why he's been nomming on my really hard the last few days. They gave him some oragel and was immediately sucking down bottles and acting way more normal. YAY!!! So I see oragel and baby pain meds on the shopping list for tonight.
