So, work was...hard. I kept loosing focus on things visually and mentally but I made it through. Drove us home without throwing up from motion sickenss (stoopid head making me dizzy) and then headed to the luxury which is the couch while Mel ran to attempt to pick up his contacts (he failed cause they are closed on Mondays). I slept a bit, richard arrived and then mel came home so I needed to get going on the stuff for the afternoon but then ari dropped by and we chatted. Nice fabric purchases. Mel and I then left richard with the house and ari had left and we went to glenn's for good bone cracking fun.

The good news is that I was only minorly concussed and my C1 and C7 vertabrae were slightly misaligned. Glenn defines a concussion as your brain hitting your skull at 7mph...major concussion at 10 mph and severe blackout kind of concussion at 15 mph. So he patched me up pretty quickly and was surprised I wasn't more hurt. My body has good enough muscle memory to keep things in place and I know how to fall okay. Though as mel said anybody would be pressed to make a proper "slap fall" with a 9lb helmet on. I felt sore but really good after my treatment. Mel was much more "out" than I was and glenn put him all back together while we chatted with Paul (our kung fu instructor) who was in for his appointment. Stopped by the old house to pick up two pieces of mail and then home. Mel made more pasta to go with the left over sauce from friday and I sewed. I realized that 1) I was tired, 2) I was on a roll with sewing and 3) I really didn't want to drive. I was comfortable sitting on the couch. So, I called meg and said I wouldn't be at scribble and continued to sew through 3 episodes of CSI, mel taking a bath/shower and going to bed, 1 cup of cocoa with lots of schnapps and finally started the bedtime ritual at 11pm. I was wired though...my brain would not shut off and it wasn't a good thing. I think I fell asleep about midnight and then kinda tossed and turned until we got up.

So, after work I will cut out mel's collar and cuff and get them serged. Hopefully I can get mel to attach some of his trim to his coat while I start the emboridery. So, things left for Saturday.
1) Sew on tablet woven trim to under dress (its pinned on)
2) Bead arm bands/bottom trim to over dress
3) Attach trim from #2
4) Embroider 3 medallions on mel's collar
5) Embroider 1 medallion each on mel's cuffs
6) Embroider 3 medallions on mel's bottom trim
7) Attach trim form 4-6
8) Sew on buttons and loops on mel's caftan

Its not a lot but its enough to make me crazy. Here's hoping that everything goes as planned, I can stay focused and nothing weird happens. I will be out at practice. I need to get my fencing authorization tonight. I will need to borrow a hood if I can't find mel's old one. I have mask, gorget and gloves. And I'll need to borrow weapons.
