Wednesday...hmmm
Aug. 30th, 2007 06:59 amWork was anticlimactic and I didn't get a lot done but I'm okay with that. Got home, changed into biking clothes and went for a ride. Now, remember sunday when I grumped about a sucktastic ride? yeah, well, I figured out why....my front brake was engaging the tire. yeah...increased rolling resistance makes things BAD! I feel kinda dumb. So I adjusted both brakes about a mile into the ride and then I was cruising down wilmot at 17mph without issue. Got to my turn on prudence going 15pmh and my asthma kicked in and I had forgotten my inhaler. I trudged through to golflinks, rested and then zoomed home. All in all I averaged 13.8 which was a marked improvement from sunday. I felt like a dork though but I couldn't hear it rubbing until things were quiet. Got home and Richard was there chatting with the hubby who was just finishing up eating dinner. Samir arrived shortly there after and I was almost cooled down (102° 60%humidity yuck!) Got changed and had dinner and then we all chatted. Senach got there and the transfer of the stuff for the office began. I uploaded photos, we looked at reports..not too bad. We still have to refile a report since it was corrupted but all okay. Everyone left about 9pm and then it was showers and reading.
I slept very well, though I woke up to move a cat and ended up booting them out of bed accidentally and both of my hips either popped back into or out of place a few times when I was rolling over. I luv biking. This morning mel finished off the ice distillation of the mead. I have a doctors appointment to hopefully put a final explanation on what was annoying me a few weeks ago and then it will be target and packing/laundry and kung fu.
We have plans to sleep in a bit tomorrow, get a good bike ride in, have breakfast at joe's, finish packing and be on site for crown about noon. We'll see how that works. Well, off to be an engineer.
Mileage: 6.5 miles 13.8 mph
