Friday...hmmm not quite where I want to be

Well, we got up about 830am and hit the road. We did 7miles at about 14.2mph but there were hills and my knees are killing me from a week of abuses and the still healing bone bruises on my right knee cap. But we road good and then had breakfast. They are breaking in a new waitress at Joe's and she's cute and smiles at everything. She was working as Jacky's assistant and not doing too bad. Course there are a lot of regulars at joes, even on friday mornings. All good. Got home and then headed out for the much needed grocery shopping. We gots punkins for carving (we're going girl genius this year) and punkins for beer. Plus stuff to make hamburger...cause seriously...way cheaper to by london broil and grind our own. Got home, chatted with the neighbors and then I started in on the house picking up. I just got my silk stretched on the frame...I figured by this point of the day that I would be to the gutta-ing but oh well. I also need to get scroll stuff done too. Ugh...too much to do. Plus I need to make sure to trace my boars for my dress so I have something to work on tomorrow since I know I will have the trim done tonight.

Well, off to draw stuff on silk.

Wow, that was a day and its not over yet...

Well, my motivation was there but projects weren't working right this whole day...until I got to the calligraphy that I had to do on icky paper. An entire scroll on icky paper...but it was a commission so I was kinda stuck. But I learn from my friends and lferion showed me the super easy thing to do which is to pencil your text in so you are 1)guaranteed your spacing and 2) it will keep you consistent for process. So, I did it. I put the text in pencil and then callig'd right over it. Scroll done. Wow. SQUEE.

Yeah..the volunteer champions banner is not done...its sketched and about 1/3 gutt'd and then I started getting issues with the tip of the paint and then it decided to sluge over a part that is white. Ugh. Course...now I htink about the fact of why am doing it this way...why can't I use white paint for the gutta? I just wonder. Eh. I'll finish it next week.

I still need to transfer my boars for the embroidery and I better do that immediately after dinner and before we game but first I need a beer.
