Work was again a struggle of too much information (as in too large a data set) and trying to pare it down to a manageable entity. Adding to that it was one of those days when people can't seem to do their jobs and I have to do it for them that I got a bit grumpy. Sighs. I'm trying not to be grumpy but goodness...some people are rather dense. Sighs. Got home and picked up the house while mel made a scrumptious dinner. I then got my silk stretched for my banner just before Sioux and [livejournal.com profile] scribe_ari arrived for scribble. We did scribble stuff while watching Steel Magnolias.
Oh and Sammy is the guy who played Igor and Benni in Van Helsing and The Mummy..which is why he looked familiar.

I got our thank you scroll text set out and now just need to put a final tweak in the design and get it put on to paper for copying. Should be able to work on that soonish so I can work some copier fu.

My neck is doing better but I'm sure the heat pack and the icy hot from last night are good. I'm kricking my neck over too forward when I'm thinking or sketching which is causing the issue. Need to sit straight at work today and I know that will help.

Tonight I will sketch out my banner and then head to fighter practice to get some help getting my helm padded up nicely and then I will probably head home. I realized this AM that none of my stuff is washed from the war and I'm getting home late due to errands (walgreen and ace hardware) that I won't have enough time to wash stuff. Sighs.

But I will make an appearance and see folks and get the helm squared away it will be good to get out since I only managed that for 2 small outings the entire weekend...I think I've been cooped up too much since we got home from Estrella.

For decades the Known
World Handbook (KWH) has been a must-have resource for any newcomer
to the SCA. The last update to this quintessential publication
occurred over 14 years ago. Over the next year or so, the SCA will be
revamping this critical handbook from the ground up. The goal is to
release a new KWH for sale through the SCA's online Stock Clerk by
the first quarter of 2010.

We are looking for
anything and everything a newcomer to the SCA could be interested in.
If you have an idea for an article, send it on in. There is no limit
to new and fresh ideas. For a list of sample topics visit www.sca.org/kwh .

Try to keep the
articles between 800 and 3000 words, and please submit them via Word
files or in the body copy of an email to kwh@sca.org. Authors of existing articles
in the KWH are invited to refresh, renew, and update their prior KWH
