Weekend in Review lots of accomplishments
Aug. 20th, 2007 07:06 amFriday:
Friday was good. I got the truck in for service (lots to do there), had breakfast with the hubby and then trundled about town on errands. Cleaned house, got the girls to the vet and then we gamed. All good. Had an early night due to mel not having the maps he needed and we achieved 10 people comfortably at the table for a night. All good. Everyone brought dessert too...which was nice as well.
Saturday:
The crewe got up and we started loading blossom's van. It was a tight squeeze and we had to get a printout of insurance and were then out on the road. Got about half way to Ft. Hauchucha and realized that the van plates were expired. We trundled on and got to the base with mel's contractor ID. No questions but surprise at having 7 adults in the van. Had a nice time at the event. Mel wasn't on his game too much and was out in 3. His hip went out again and that doesn't help. Most adults at the event spent the afternoon wading in the creek. I didn't since my feet are cracking and that would hurt. Got tired and got folks moving just before the sun went down. We headed to chilli's and had a grand time. Our server was awesome and got everything right. Drove home and had a nice time avoiding all of the wild life. Such good conversation and things to remember. Got home and we all headed to bed quite early.
Sunday:
Mel and I got up about 8am. I read while he spun. We got shanda out of bed after a happy good morning song and snuggle and then we met richard at joe's. I didn't feel like breakfast so I had a patty melt. We lounged over coffee for quite a while. Its good we are regulars cause they didn't mind at all. At home projects started and finished throughout the day from various folks. I made 2 festoons and finished a necklace, got the first of 2 necklaces done for baskets, got loops on the vest and the hem finished with weights, got the caftan buttons and loops on, got my great coat loop done, made a pair of turtle earrings, got photos uploaded, had shanda time, watched 4 movies and finished a book. Wander repaired her BC, added another 2 sections to it, got richards tent fixed and helped me with some stuff as well. Mel got his laurel medallion mounted on his necklace from rob and he worked on his embroidery for his shoes. It was a good day.

This morning started early. We got awoken at 4am with a call from mel's cousin Curran. His brother, Nathaniel, died at the age of 35 from a heart attack. Keep the family in your prayers this week.
