So, I did end up making it 166 chains wide. I also paid special attention to make sure my chain was loose. When doing the first row I miss did part of the pattern which if you remember is a 3dc-ch-3dc, skip 3ch, 1dc in the next 2 ch repeat. I put an extra 1 dc in the next 2 ch in and well, that made the end have 4 extra stitches. So I just SC into the last ch and that made the corner nice and round and made the transition into the row two a bit weird but it works. As ari was saying...its a guideline for a pattern...most folks won't be able to see the issue. Seriously.
I'm very happy with the size though and it will be very nice. But I need to limit myself to one row per night otherwise I'm going to aggravate my old tendinitis. I'm going to do mostly embroidery and hopefully some calligraphy this weekend. It shall be good.
