Sunday fun..

Well, after the bike and breakfast and watching cycling I decided that I wanted to play with my legos. See, mel got me the medieval village for *cough* my birthday *cough* and they've been sitting in the box since May. Sighs. I just had projects that needed attention and I couldn't be bothered to play when deadlines were looming. Well, I sat down and played for a while. Now, the things I've notices lately about the most recent lego sets is that they are breaking lego structural integrity. All of the first house had "loose" corners meaning that they were not tied into the walls and were kinda freestanding for way to much of the structure. I'm not a fan of that..while it looks cool, they could have done something about that. I got the first house done and part of the market (all through book one of the instructions). The other thing that was annoying is that its not part of the modular design that they've had on other specialty sets where you have numbered bags and you go through them in order where each bag makes 1 to a couple of items in the set. This set was dump everything out and sort by color and shape. Gah. I spent a lot of time hunting for the correct pieces. But it was good.

Mel did some spinning and wound yarn and went antiquing with Mingo and Tati. I ended up going grocery shopping late but picked up the essentials for a few days and then started on on baby afghan #3. A preview is below. The colors are kinda sucky since I took it with the phone and immediately uploaded it to flickr without editing but the colors are sunny yellow and light yellow. The weird rings are stitch markers so I know where I'm at in the pattern and will not appear on the blankie when completed.



I didn't sleep all that well last night...not sure what is up. My tummy has been a bit odd yesterday and I can't really think of what I ate that could upset it so...but I'm sure the week without yogurt on travel didn't help.
