Well, its finally friday. Gads has it been a long week. I'm not even sure what I have to show for it. My projects at work are stalled and the paperwork is very dry. Gah.

Had a nice dinner out with Asa, Ed and the Holly. She was uber cute. We went to a Buddy's Grill on houghton and it was nice. Good food, nice beer selection etc. I had two beers (yeah, that was bad of me but its been a week) and I was tipsy when we left. Yeah, I'm a light weight now. Sighs. Eh, I can cope. I was working on Becca's Number 2 project and got that done minus some seaming before I went to bed last night. I hope to finish that and work on other gifties tonight. My Noro scraft needs a professional opinion. I'm not sure I knit well enough yet to manage with this yarn. I might frog it and start something for Mel dunno...getting critique on Ravelry and I'm gonna have ari look at it too.

Got meetings till late today which means I miss going to knitting happy hour and going to AAA to work on our anniversary trip. Oh, well. Monday hopefully I can work on that.

After that will be game night..though the house is a mess and most of it is the front table that I need to go through. Just hope today goes by quickly...I'm D-O-N-E.

My two cents? It depends on the Noro yarn, but personally it wasn't my first yarn for knitting either. Mine was just normal Cascade yarn for my first project, then I went into similar type yarn - a bit thinner, but really great for my first double-pointed project - for knitting a baby hat. It's only been with this shawl project that I've really began experimenting with the more delicate yarns and, as you can see, I'm using sock yarn until I really get used to working with lace.
