We had a work potluck and this was made by a coirkers wife...so tasty!

Muhammara
2 twelve-ounce jars roasted red peppers, drained
1 cup chopped walnuts (lightly toasted if you have time)
3/4 cup fine fresh bread crumbs
8 garlic cloves, crushed
3 tablespoons dark agave syrup (or to make it more authentic, use pomegranate molasses instead)
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
2-3 tablespoons ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon dried hot red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper (probably not authentic)

Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth.  Serve with pita bread or pita chips.

Bet you could also replace the bread crumbs with almond meal to make it GF! Sounds so tasty.

Yes, I bet you could. Its really tasty. Reminds me of you and the tapanades you used to get at TJ's for dinners at Mingos.

Oh, man. I haven't done that in forever! Mixing some of the tapenades from TJ's was the best. Mix a jar of their bruschetta topping with a jar of olive tapenade and half a jar of chopped artichoke hearts. Spread on naan or pitas, sprinkle with feta and roast in the oven for 15 minutes. BEST APPETIZER EVER.

Might have to try that on paleo-ized naan ...
