Sewing and painting we have been going....
Feb. 6th, 2013 10:11 amMonday after work I lifted heavy stuff and then ran 2 miles with 13:05 mins on the miles. I then got home, ate a nummy dinner and then cleaned up the front room and watched the scribes arrive for lots of painting fun. Got help from folks to paint the Hrafn Banner. After it dried though I realized it needed another coat. The lighting in the carport is the suck and that did not help. I had finished a painting last week and started another one. I have calligraphy to do on 3 items but I can do that after crown.
On the Mel front he did go to the doctor and he's got a virus and has to wait it out. Le Sigh. His coughing is awful at times and he looks miserable. I just hope he gets better soon.
swordmagecame over to help me with banners (she's sewn the edges on all of them and put the ties on them too!) while I got the edging sewn and pinned on ivan's tunic. I hope to get to cutting my dress out tonight. I may not get to the heraldic medallions on his tunic. We shall see. I'm not going to push to get something done and have it half assed. Its quality versus quantity. It does make the difference and finish work always makes things look their best. Especially on sewing since really that is all there is to sewing.
Work has been crazy busy and I've been on the phone a lot. Thank goodness for headsets.
The banner

We did do one more coat so it looks like this color versus the lighter color it dried to.
