I make really good rhubarb pie.

Just rhubarb...no abomination that adds other fruit to "offset the rhubarb's tartness". I grew up without aberrations like strawberries...they have their own pie. Rhubarb has its own pie. 'Nuff said.

Monday was actually kinda busy at work. Got to tear down some hardware after an test where we fried it intentionally to see the upper limit of the hardware in power and altitude...quite impressive on the burn pattern. I got the parts and 2 other pieces of hardware to our guy to send to the failure lab for analysis so that was good. I also got my accomplishments loaded into the system and I have my summary of my years work to complete. That is always a hard one to sell yourself on...eh, it will get done this week though.

Later in the afternoon I got tasked with a higher priority on something I've been working on. I need to get it done by year end...which is gonna be a major rush...but doable. That means I will be busy for the next 14 hours of work.

Got home and mel was making cookies...he's so cute when he is being domestic. I lounged on the couch editing pictures from coronation (yes, I know I'm late on those but red eye reduction and scaling takes some time.) I hope to be uploading this afternoon while I'm making pie. The lovely duchess_asa will be my assistant in pie fun. I think we are making pumpkin (2: 1 for us, one or joe's), mincemeat, key lime (2: 1 for us, one for joe's), apple crumble, apple cranberry, chocolate turtle and mel will make pecan, blueberry and peach tomorrow. If I get a chance and I can find rhubarb I'll make some of that...not sure its in season though.

Just had a nice sit down with my new boss and I laid out my plans for switching positions at work by next fall, he was pretty receptive which was good. I have drafting folks sending me information I need and I'm hoping for a very productive day.
