Well the drama of the dishwasher meant we headed up to Sioux Falls after work to check out what was available and what we like. I will admit I'm annoyed at prices and the dearth of selection of things I like like no buttons on the front and not shitty design button on the top and no handle that sticks out into the galley kitchen. I like the 3rd rack but Mel hates it, i also like adjustable second rack but Mel doesn't care. Also, their delivery radius is 20 miles, not the 50 miles we are used to. Sighs. we are 47 miles from the store. But we hit 2 stores, and then trundled to the local shire Archery practice.

The practice was small and we chit chatted. A doe was hanging out here and there around the field which was nice and the field is covered so the misting of rain didn't hamper us either. We stayed for quite a while before I made sure we could get dinner (Midwest downs, even when they are the largest in the state close things weirdly) at a nice upper scale place called Roma kitchen. It had bourbon and BBQ on the menu and Mel approved. I was happy to walk into a BBQ place that didn't have mesquite. I had a spiced pear mule and he had a beer followed by a top shelf old fashioned. For food he had the brisket mac/cheese and I had the panko encrusted walleye with wild rice and veggies. The food was tasty, the drinks were nice and we had a nice evening. Then it was a drive home and to bed by 11pm. I was tired.

Its raining again today a nice steady dripping with some more strong soakers. We are expecting almost 2" by Thursday night. I'm looking forward to the weekend cause starting Thursday at 5pm I don't work until July 7th and the family is coming in on Sunday. Depending on the weather will depend on if we do a tourist excursion to Desmet, Prairie Village, or Okoboji Lakes, IA. Or we could stay home and work on projects and clean house. We shall see.

We should have stopped by the grocery store last night on the way home but I can run into town for milk tonight. I will do a quick run and then back home to work on pulling out china to count for storage buys, pick out the ceiling fixture I want for the dinning room and get the pride shawl figured out from where I left off. we shall see.

I did get back into reading my book last night and that is good and am still reading #15 for the year Taming Demons for Beginners.

Well, the laundry hydra has still a few heads that need to be buried but the house is looking better. I got the boys laundry folded and put away and that just leaves the towels etc in my studio and my clothes to put away. I'm so happy that I know have more pants to wear that I can put off doing laundry that I think I almost might be able to keep up with it. Yeah, right. Got home with Benton after we went grocery shopping. We needed a few things like yogurt and apples. I was explaining things to him as I picked things up and put them in the cart and for the first time it really looked like he was seeing it. He fell asleep on the way home and I let him snooze while I cleaned baby bottles and got my dinner started. I made a mushroom/spinach/feta omelet and had rye toast with it. Mel got home about the time I finished up cooking and he played with Benton while I made him dinner. Ben was cute and was crawling around but was getting a bit frustrated with crawling. Not sure why, he was doing great but I think he'd just had enough. We got him set in his chair for a bit and at 730 I got him in his jammies and he was in bed early after a really good feeding.

I should have doing some crafty stuff but I was tired. Mel was in bed asleep by 930 and I turned my reading light out at 10pm. Obsidian has been bugging mel at night which explains some of his tireds in the morning. I'm thinking it will be a cat free night tonight.

Just after Benton went to bed it started raining. Wow, what a great storm. It was nice to go to bed with it raining.

Well, tonight is me hitting the gym then heading to knit night. I will probably call ahead for dinner from Beyond Bread so its ready when I get there since the places I like to eat around plantsite are closed after I get out of the gym. Which is rather annoying. I'm also toying with the idea that maybe I should have my 8 hour day be wednesday so I get more knitting time with the girls and still get a good workout and not feel so rushed. We shall see.

Well, I only forgot two things to bring to work today. A new calendar and my log book. The calendar is a meh, but the log book has my wonderfully detailed notes of what I'm supposed to be working on. Lol. Oh, well, I can get to the nitty gritty tomorrow I guess.

I managed to get errands run yesterday, picked up my new glasses as seen here in a fuzzy cell phone picture ). After that appointment I ran around and did some more errands and picked up the good hair ball stuff that Obsidian likes versus the replacement stuff they had at petsmart. Petsmart has changed to all GNC brand pet medicines and while I normally like their stuff, obsidian only likes the malt flavored petromalt. She's such a brewer's cat. I got some groceries shopped for and am trying out a new tea today that was suggested by the midwife. We shall see if I like it.

Got home and rested but in general I didn't cough much and only blew my nose a bit throughout the day. I did manage to get a pantry kung fu dinner in the crock pot. I put chicken thighs dusted liberally with ginger and cinnamon over a bed of onions and peppers which I then doused in coconut milk. I cooked it for 3+ hours and it was tasty with a bit of cheese put on top. Nummy. Doc wants me back on my high protein lower carb for the rest of the pregnancy so I'm obliging though we need to restock some of my favorites to cook that way. Mel was very happy with me making dinner and he got the kitchen cleaned while I was able to de-christmas the house. I hope he can take down the lights outside and take down my wreath. I need to jam it all back in the closet at some point tonight and we have more than last year. Hmm..gonna have to get creative.

Getting the planning stages on for Estella now and I have a long to-do list of things that have to get done in January. I'll probably post that later but most of it is baby related and house related stuff. Oh, we did get gifted a huge box of handme down clothes from Finnbar and his wife. I only just peaked but its some cute stuff.

Work is okay, its still pretty quiet and folks haven't returned in lots of areas yet. Looks like lots are taking this week off. That would have been nice but I need to now conserve PTO to get in line with the baby getting here. Such is life.

Well, off to work on that dastardly report from last year.

Well, this week has had its ups and downs. The ups have been art and the downs have been lack of sleep and breathing. Hitting the gym today...even if things hurt (lungs). But I almost finished the blankie last night. I decided that my lack of sleep this week didn't need to be furthered too much more by projects. So, I have a few ends to weave in and the final border row. I can do that when I get home tonight which means it will be done and I can cast on something new...Or I can spend time on the studio. Hmmm...decisions. I think it will be a bit of both. I need both so yup, both will have to happen. Yup.

Knit night was good last night. We were a bit more quiet than normal though it seemed. I did manage to have some crochet fu going on. I forgot my pattern for the scallops and kinda remembered it...read the crochet off the object and went with it. That was pretty cool for me.
Mel and I got the trim figured out for TRM clothes. Though we obviously have lots of linen thread it was a hard choice due to muted colors versus vibrant colors and the wanting for things to pop versus be subtle. I need to finish stuff on my loom before I can start my trim. That will be things to work on this weekend and through next week in between sewing stints...but again I need to clean the studio.

Hopefully work today isn't too bad...I'm tired and headachey. I have lots of detailed numbers to go through and my brain isn't running right. Sighs. Oh, well.

Well, I got to work on my new job and it looks like it will be challenging but not so much with the nagging daily tasks. I'm good with that. I've got to get my new computer sent to the new desk and get that set up. I'll be co-located for a while but it will be okay. Just need to get going on that stuff and finish out my tasks here..lots to do before Estrella. Eeep.

Left work early (had carryover from last week) and hit the gym. It was hard cause all I wanted was a nap but I worked hard. I even tested myself on the bench press machine to see where I max out. I need to remember my training book so I get the accurate weight measurements on the machines since its a setting versus a weight you add on.

Got home at the "on time" mark and got into cleaning. I cleaned until 530pm...and realized that we really needed TP and some food in the house. I decided that I had to skip music practice and that sucked but priorities had to change. I've been practicing in the car so, its better but group practice is always good. Sighs. Got back from the store got a shower, had dinner and then we had a big group over for scribble. 3 scrolls got planned, boots got polished, hats got made and a soon to be laurel's outfit got closer to completion. Busy, busy night. Also got some other plans for estrella figured out and the response this morning means things are a go.

Folks were there later than we all intended but luckily I already had my shower so I just curled into bed with a book for about 10 pages and then it was lights out. Seriously, I slept until the alarm and I never woke up all night. Wow. The girls were happy. Obsidian is doing better and has been eating full meals but in small portions. I hope this is okay after we run out of pepcid. She's also been drinking so we haven't had to use the IV again. All good.
Well time to get through more paperwork and head down to talk with IT.

Work was pretty exhausting. I wish people could be clear when they communicated its frustrating and leads to many, many hours of my time wasted. le sigh. Got home rather late and cleaned up the front room and the kitchen; put away all of the xmas presents that were drying on the rack, made mustard for this weekend/Southern, had dinner and finally got to working on the sekrit squirrel project. [livejournal.com profile] scribe_ari arrived and kabitzing and vodka ensued. Scribble was small with a chunk working on HRH dress, others working on scrolls or SSP (sekrit squirrel projects) and we all ended up in the living room watching The Crow.

Did ya know the movie had colors other than black, white, grey and red? Yeah, we didn't either. Our VHS tapes were so worn out and the tv was so old that none of us noticed. So, when we popped in the shiny new DVD wow! Really awesome. Yes, you can tell all of the sets were models but eh, it actually adds to the movie. We all stayed up and watched it before folks left and then I was quite smitten on vodka. Had a shower and I'm sure I snored fiercely.

This morning I still have the headache from yesterday. Which is annoying me. Aw well, more drugs and more caffeine today. Maybe I had too much coffee on Sunday? Who knows. Its just been weird.

But all I have left on the SSP is some highlighting, photographing and signing the back to be able to hand it in. All good. I have some seams to finish on HRH dress but the end of projects before coronation. I have our packing list. We have crash space and it now looks like southern planning is also almost done.

Well, its been a trying week in the health department but I'm better, just tired. Got lots to do at work today but that is a good thing. I'm just gonna drink lots and lots of water and maybe some green tea too...gots me some dragonwell that needs to be made. After work I hope to head to grandma's for a little bit. I have my crochet with me (the girls at work wanted to see the progress) and then home to pick up the house a bit (cat box etc) and then have game night. Not sure how much I will be up for but I'm looking forward to cake for mel's b-day.

Tomorrow we have an appointment to go look and maybe buy our iphones and I hope we can get lunch at El Saage (joe's other resturant). After that I think a quiet afternoon at home working on projects would be good. I have research to do and commission work to finish and I think I will start on my documentation for a few of the pieces for october. Finally got my mind working on that stuff. All good.

I also need to go out and buy the yarn for the baby afghans I have in plans...but I need to do a bit of research to see who is having what...makes color choices better. But mel liked the patterns I picked out and that is a good thing.

Well here is to shoving off into a good day on mild seas.

Well, I really wished I had had one more day to me...I had just that much more to do but I'll cope. I had a really nice time at lunch on saturday and then home to pick things up and then had a really nice time with thyra working on projects. I got the 2nd hammer almost done (these are taking a lot longer that I think they should..I think its cause I have other projects). I also got the afghan out to about 20 inches or so. I got the laundry done (need to put it away still, sighs) and in general just relaxed.

The boys got home a bit after 5pm and they were sunburnt from not putting sunscreen on during tear down. They sounded like they had fun despite some shady goings on. I headed over to take care of the cats and got back and they were killing zombies. Seriously, they have been playing more of the zombie add-on then playing COD...that is so odd. Headed to bed kinda on time and read for a quite a while.

WWZ is really good and I'm getting into the meat of it. Some people are just stoopid...remember folks always have family preparedness plans for: Dies the fire scenarios, Zombies and raptors!

I had odd dreams though..some zombie induced others just plain weird. I was at the hermitage museum and had just arrived when I'm talking to a curator about some textiles and then I realize that I'm supposed to be on a plane home at that exact moment. It was weird and unnerving to wake up to "omg I'm gonna miss my plane in a foreign country crap." I <3 my psychosis.

On the agenda today, besides work, are to finish picking up the house for scribble, working out which I did yesterday and the knee was okay with it and enjoying the evening. I'm thinking a short bike ride or 3 this week will be in order and then slowly start building to more stuff. Keep on increasing, not go all out at once. Much better and less injury prone I think. I also need to see glen to get my sternum back in place...things are weird and I'm sure an adjustment will make things much better. So, I better get cracking on the work front...lots to do this week and deadlines are looming.
