Well, we over slept, I spilled a drink on my keyboard (its okay), forgot to do my status sheets for my monday morning status meeting, was allergy icky all day and yeah...bleah. Got home and was happy to snuggle up on the couch and work on the blankie. I got the body finished and 3 of the 7 scallops done for one side. I'm very happy that I wove in all of the ends on the blanket as I went...I would only go a few rows past the color changes before I did that and it helps. I need to do the same on the scallops since they change colors on the last row. So I have 11 more scallops and then a full blankie edge and I can through it and all of the other gifties in the washer to send out. My goal tonight is to finish the scallops. Maybe a bit more if I get working hard when I get home.

Headed off to scribble with the idea in mind to sketch out my entry for A&S. I didn't do that...but I did manage to get the paper setup for it and I practiced the technique with oakgall ink versus the walnut ink since the originals were done in greys not browns. I'm having way too much fun with the ATC's. I got 3 more done and sketched out another one. The last one is really funny. Obsidian was doing zombie kitty with a broken neck....which sounds awful but when cats get strange and flop on the floor they sometimes look like they have broken their necks when they turn their heads around. Well, she did that one friday night with her eyes all zombiefied (i.e. she was asleep with her eyeballs open and her tongue out). It was bizarre so I sketched it and then went home. Got home and mel was being very funny but he liked the ATC's I did. Headed to bed late but I slept okay.

So, here are the ATC's I did last night )

So, good crafty evening..hopefully today will be as well. I want the blankie done and shipped out on friday and I want to get going on the commissions I have and finish my Wil Wheaton sox and get started on a pair for mel...plus a cowl for myself. All in due time...just got to keep on trucking. Though the royal commission is going to make me finish a weaving project, well actually 2 but still...finish the one on my loom currently. All good.

Work was good. I got handed a few things to work on and it was a nice busy day. Today is a few training classes and meetings. Should be fun. I have crochet to keep me occupied. Got home yesterday and worked on the house. I wanted to clean up the carpets, get the cooler running and clean up some of the junk it spits out. I even managed to put carpet cleaner on the odd stains in the front room and it seems to have cleaned up pretty good. I'll probably do that again when we get back from the retreat.

Scribble was busy but I was in the middle of tearing my studio apart looking for my tambour kit. I could not find it. I have no idea where in the heck I put it which kinda dampers me teaching a demo on it this weekend but I will keep hunting for it. Tonight, along with laundry and packing will be getting the final cleanup on the studio done. It will help with packing and the like and its a good plan anyway. The laundry hydra is screaming at me..oops. Forgot to work on it yesterday. I sat and enjoyed folk's company and made strawberry upside down cake. The caramel topping setup before it baked but it was still good. Will have to experiment with that one. We all were chatting in the family room and hanging out by the end of the evening. We were up late again..not sure what I can do about that. Though I hope to go to be early tonight.

My scarf is progressing nicely. I'm on the second ball of yarn. So I hope I can pack and finish that tonight so I can get it blocking and ready to use at the retreat.

Still need to go to glenn's I've called him a few times and keep getting the machine at the office. I'm very sore today...but I shall work on working out by moving stuff and do more cleaning. Taking the benedryl at night though make me not so stuff in the mornings. So I guess that is a good thing. Looking forward to the retreat though I hate that long drive. Its worth it though.

Well, I got to work on my new job and it looks like it will be challenging but not so much with the nagging daily tasks. I'm good with that. I've got to get my new computer sent to the new desk and get that set up. I'll be co-located for a while but it will be okay. Just need to get going on that stuff and finish out my tasks here..lots to do before Estrella. Eeep.

Left work early (had carryover from last week) and hit the gym. It was hard cause all I wanted was a nap but I worked hard. I even tested myself on the bench press machine to see where I max out. I need to remember my training book so I get the accurate weight measurements on the machines since its a setting versus a weight you add on.

Got home at the "on time" mark and got into cleaning. I cleaned until 530pm...and realized that we really needed TP and some food in the house. I decided that I had to skip music practice and that sucked but priorities had to change. I've been practicing in the car so, its better but group practice is always good. Sighs. Got back from the store got a shower, had dinner and then we had a big group over for scribble. 3 scrolls got planned, boots got polished, hats got made and a soon to be laurel's outfit got closer to completion. Busy, busy night. Also got some other plans for estrella figured out and the response this morning means things are a go.

Folks were there later than we all intended but luckily I already had my shower so I just curled into bed with a book for about 10 pages and then it was lights out. Seriously, I slept until the alarm and I never woke up all night. Wow. The girls were happy. Obsidian is doing better and has been eating full meals but in small portions. I hope this is okay after we run out of pepcid. She's also been drinking so we haven't had to use the IV again. All good.
Well time to get through more paperwork and head down to talk with IT.

Well, its monday...in all forms. Yup.

Weekend wasn't great...I didn't bike cause I felt like crap..stoopid sinuses and the insomnia of thursday. I would have gotten blanket #3 done if I had read the pattern correctly. I did 18 repeats versus 12..ran our of yarn and had to frog 1/2 of the last repeat and then start the border where the last row has picots...which aren't easy to do quickly...so its taking me a while. I have 2 sides left to do the final border on and then taking our stitch markers and weaving in a few ends, wash and dry. Depending on when I get out of here...who knows from the looks of it and the craptasticness that this has been so far. Sighs.

Thank gods my decongestant finally kicked in.

Probably another post to recap things better if things get better.

So the weekend ended relaxing with mel and I having a very nice home made Kemp dinner of chops and potatoes with gravy. We sat and watched House for a few hours and then we attempted to sleep and that didn't work very well. I really should have gotten up and did something like finish the last of the one style of ornaments for twila but I tossed and turned and didn't really get any good deep sleep. Eh, its monday, I don't expect much different.

I'll be happy to relaxing with some peeps at scribble tonight for our restful recoup from Coronation. Then we will get back into the real swing next monday for painting etc. Tonight shall be us and fun and movies that Ari can't watch at home. Work has a going away lunch for my coworker julio. We've worked various programs together and he's an awesome guy...gonna miss his hijinks. Mel will be heading to the demo and I will probably work a bit late and then head home to clean (vacuum and dust) for folks coming over. Anybody who wants to come over early can help!

Well, my tummy wasn't happy with all of the eating out over the weekend and was protesting this AM. Grr...then I get to work and it takes me and 2 IT guys going "hmmmm" to get my computer to just boot to windows. So, I need to get it re-imaged today..cause its just being plain weird. Yup...shaping up to be a grand monday. I finally, I think, got over the funk of the early part of the weekend. Saturday night made up for the sucky friday/sat. Sunday was good breakfast and then house cleaning. I got the kitchen up to shape which was good. Then I headed out to try on bridesmaid dresses. Which was a chore but not as bad as I feared. We managed to find something very flattering for all of our figures (I'm not the biggest girl but still...its hard with different shapes). We shall be wearing this dress

I have to say its very nice and a bit of tailoring will make it perfect for me. Then I got home, had lunch and fell asleep on the couch watching the Eddie Izzard Marathon on BBC America. I woke up with richard and shanda home and eating pie. I got roused and had some tea and then [livejournal.com profile] sirtighearnain came by to learn some sewing and get patterns worked out. Had some fun there. I managed to get some of the beads cleaned out and some embroidery done but that was about it. Not much progress on any front for myself.

So, hopefully, with my computer being down I can maybe get some stuff done...not sure.
