Mel was on travel in florida all last week. His comment was his meetings changed tone on Wednesday with the customer and yeah. That was a thing. I'm going to stop clicking on CNN and just read things from the foreign perspective....I just can't take it.

Anyhoo...I was good and got us mostly packed up and ready before Mel got home. I had not loaded the van but got everything in the trailer with the help of Dom. I guess I missed a few minor things but Thursday night was pretty relaxing before an event that I've had. I didn't feel great but we were managing. My congestion of the weekend before was still present off and on and I was tired. My stomach was also not happy, I'm sure its been stress and too much drinking and not eating well. And being constipated is not great. Camping and being constipated is even better. I got a bit of relief but things are still not happy.

So Friday we got up, got moving finished up the final things. I got benton to school and then loaded myself into the van. I ran to get the tires checked and that took a while but I was glad I did since they were only half full. Dear husband...when I say they look low...they are low. It was funny and not. Got to site...the wind was annoying on the highway but we got things setup using impact drivers which was amazing. We will totally be doing that from now on once we get all the stakes to do that. We also only had 4 of us camping and a super minimal kitchen and that was okay. We had fun and made do. Had lots of good conversations after a long court with friends and beer. Dominique was awesome and just ripped out my shawl versus trying to help me figure out a lifeline since it was like 20 rows at the beginning. yeah I should have done that but yeah. Need the moral support blah blah blah. I did manage to do some spinning. The first night was super effing cold and the new tent is larger volume than the old so the tent heater did not keep up. We hit vigils and didn't get into bed until 130am and I was too cold. I could not warm up until just about 330am. And then I slept poorly. Got up at 8 cause there was coffee. Magdalen was making hash over the fire, Dominique made fruit filled oatmeal and it was a nice morning. Got dressed for court but I was just spinning and watching. It was a long court with a MOD, Knighting and a driveby laurel. I just have to remember that being a peer is a spectrum and sometimes folks improve when they are elevated and I hope that is the case.

Ahem.

So after court and lunch I sat with the Hrafn ladies and we chatted as I noted before. We got the cloak back from a former house member and that portion of drama is closed. Meandered around chatting with people with Dominique in tow. It was a nice afternoon. She made japanese mushroom soup with rice balls and we had a nice evening around the fire. Sharing mead and stories. Some one appeared with smores makings and then Coradini arrived with sword skewers for folks to use. Lots of fun but I think everyone was tired. In bed by 11pm. I made sure to point the heater at my side of the bed. Put my legwarmers on and that helped me keep warm. It was also not in the 20s F, it was in the 30s which helped a lot. We all slept well and then had a leisurely morning of packing up and the tear down was good. We had plenty of help and were offsite by just after noon. Got home, parked trailers and unloaded cars and then collapsed into showers and naps. I was not feeling great and I went to bed early and so did the boys.

I was stuffy and my GI track still not happy. Managed to work most of a day yesterday and then I napped for 3 hours. Today I WFH as well and made it a whole day but I'm tired and will rest a bit before trying to put things away from the trip.

Work was a bit tiring. I'm waiting on people to do stuff or call me back and I really hate that. I did some documentation writing and that might be par for the course this week. Getting all of my outlines that are in my head into electronic form would be rather nice and months ahead of schedule. On the way home I was feeling kind of poorly. The tummy was cramping again and after thinking about it this morning on the drive in I think I'm a bit dehydrated. I didn't drink much but coffee on monday (bad me) and yesterday I only had just over a liter at work and coffee. So, I'm gonna push water and see...course it could also be that I had some yogurt that wasn't too good. Don't eat the stuff you find at the back of the fridge. Sighs.

So, when I got home, I laid down and listened to podcasts and then got laundry going and listened to more podcasts. By that point mel had woven 2 repeats on the loom and I had a piece of toast. Felt somewhat better with that and water but I kinda moped along. I got all of the beads sewn on to hammer #4 and started in on the red tambour. By the time practice rolled around I wasn't up for getting armored up and the storm hit the house. Guess practice got rained out so I shouldn't feel guilty. I sat on my but and watched tv and did embroidery until 930. I got all of the red tambour done and then started in on the white. My goal is to get these done by monday. We have a pretty relaxed schedule for the weekend and friday off so I think its doable and if I finish that I can start another project!!! Woot! I have startitis right now. I want to start something new to cut my boredom but I will persevere! So, I slept good last night and for once I'm tired but I don't think I need to sleep more.

So, I've been meaning to do some product reviews of things I've been trying of late, if you aren't interested don't click )

Also interesting to note, I got a response from Senator Jon Kyl about my recent letter to him about the excise tax on beer. He wrote me a very short but to the point letter on how he agrees with my stance and that of AHA/BA and will be fighting to get it out of the bill. I'll transcribe it but I was very touched to find that 1) he actually read my email and 2) he responded personally versus a form letter. Go BEER!

So, I've been reading up on eating things for higher protein again and I think we need to start keeping a few things in the house more. But other than that I just need to start parcelling out things so I up the protein. After we try some of the protein drinks we shall see what I can tolerate. But in a step in the right direction mel steamed up an entire package of chicken breast and portioned things out to the freezer and fridge and we bought tuna so I can have that. All good and steps in the right direction. No in a step in the wrong direction I hope to make carrot bread tonight in a bundt to take to work. Course I only had a very small piece of the lemon yesterday so eh. All things in moderation before lunch.

Well, like [livejournal.com profile] lferion, I also had to explain that yes, there were other candidates on the ballot than rep/dems...I was the only person to vote that way the entire day at my polling place.

Another funny thing is that [livejournal.com profile] archer64's name always comes up when they are searching for my name in the ballot books. So much fun that...nope, he's family but that's not me.
