Work is stabilizing but man my head is swimming by the time the day ends. So much stuff in there But all good. Figured out I did get my performance based 4% bonus but they took out things like normal so it looked like a paycheck weird but true. Not that I've gotten a paycheck yet. The other weird thing, I don't remember if I wrote that here is that they separated the promotions cycle from the merit cycle. Which seems really odd to me. I have been told I was put in for my promotion but I won't know if it went through or not until april sometime? Do I get another merit raise due to the new pay grade? I'm 32k from the top of my current pay grade but I know there is overlap....but I don't know. So anyway there is that.

I finished book 12 Necromancing the Stone. I wish there were more of these books, the characters were fun but it was a good place to stop and let fanfic take over.

I started reading number 13: Maclaurin's Lady which is my Galentines Day gift from Ari. Its a Harlequin Historical Romance from 1995. It is flowery in language and some intrigue in parontage that I can see from a mile away. But it fun and schlocky and nothing to really write home about. I should finish that tonight or tomorrow. I think I will read the ghost stories book about NOLA I picked up when we were there. I'm really trying to get through my TBR pile of actual books before I hit the electronic books I have which are trying some new authors like Martha Wells, Stephen Blackmore and Travis Baldree.

The gym has been hit or miss for me. I've been going but leg days are just killing me. Its a lot of modified squats and deadlifts on one leg and the bending over all of the tiem and going back up just make me dizzy. I think me missing a greater saphenous vein in my right leg and that I've had so much change in the veins plus being chubby. YEah. I do what I can but its slow. I had to take my inhaler last night due to allergies and that made me nauseous and that didn't help either. I do not puke at the gym. Got home and played video games. Benton was playing video games with his friends doing Minecraft. It was cute and they have a huge crazy house they built with a rabbit room (with a carrot field) and a cat room with toys. I'm also amused that cats in minecraft scare off creepers.

Mel's back is still not perfect and he had a bad day. Today is better. Welcome to back issues. He also got the commission for the baronial chairs for the Barony of Lyondemere in California. So he's cleaned his shop of old projects. Ari's family's rocking chair is done but a coat of wax. He's finishing up the finish on a hanging mirror shelf I thrifted and once that is done everything is out except for his restoration of an old 1900s ice box. I do need to get out there and finish the recover of the chairs we bought but I need to get leather for that and dye it. All good there as well but need to get it done.

On the projects I've got one Linengarb tunic left to put trim on for myself and two dresses to repair. I also need to finish my hood from my reign to get the seams finished and put trim on plus embroider the zot. I also need to start planning out clothes for Benton cause he is quickly outgrowing his clothes. So lots of tunics coming that way I think he's okay on pants but we need to purge his clothes again.

So I will have some sewing to do plus a slog of wool mending of socks and a sweater. I hope to hit the mending this weekend. Plus I got more storage for the studio in the way of stacking drawers that match what I already have. More cleanup to do. Just need to get through the next few days of work and mom appointments. I'm not heading to the SCA event on Sunday. Mel probably will but I need a weekend at home. We have mom coming for dinner on Saturday as well. So a nice projecty weekend sounds good to me.
