ianukWell Monday was just weird. It was way to fucking windy and its still fucking windy today. I managed to be productive and did my laundry except for hang dry items. I will do those tonight and some towels/blankets. I made dinner and tried to keep the teenager from losing his ever loving mind in the panic of trying to finish his woodworking project for his final at school.
Dinner I put in frozen boneless/skinless chicken thighs in crockpot and on high for 2 hours to defrost enough to be able to make one layer, then I doused it with a liberal amount of shawarma seasoning, cooked on high for a few more hours. Once it got juicy I sprinkled panko on top and let it cook more on low. I did one more sprinkle of panko about 30 mins before serving which I did over some prepack noodles from TJ's. I put some bang bang sauce(spicy thousand island basically) on it and Benton did similarly.
I only got Benton to eat when I got him on the phone with his dad after two failed texts and a phone call. Mel finally answered and we got him moving with things that were stored in the shop and got Benton on a better keel. I got him to eat and then he powered through until just bedtime. We shall see how he does today and what I will have to help with tonight. But between dinner, laundry, getting Benton to work on his project and do the chores that needed done I just needed done (cat box, trash out, recycles out, and his laundry out of the dryer) I didn't have spoons to pull out the knitting.
I did get love from spicy which was nice. But with mel gone I'm sure she just wants attention from the other adult while he's out. She is my cat but she does snuggle more with him. I did buy a snuggle thing for her to hopefully get her to calm the fuck down that I will try in SD if it arrives on time. I also got one for Ari for gheeka.
I have a plan of attack for things around the house when I get home since the front room is a disaster, the living room is also and our bedroom has been hit by a bus of laundry and things that just need to be put away. Choco comes tomorrow so I need things picked up and there is a lot to do but if Benton is in the shop I can just do the pick up and moving shit where it needs to go.
Our work did a random update where now most folks can't open files. Its making me doing my job very very difficult. 8 hours after I put in a ticket we got notification they are spreading an update. So I will start tomorrow.
