Tuesday Update

ianukI finished book 35 last night and it ended well. I see where the author is going with the series and it might be a fun read later for fluff and no real substance but I won't go our of my way to read it.
35) Death Warmed Over by Kevin J. Anderson
Next will be the Kane Chronicles by Rick Riordan. I ordered the first 3 of the Trials of Apollo for Benton and I as well.
I'm out of yarn on the blanket of doom and waiting for a shipment from the LYS to arrive. So I cast on the Hitchhiker by Martina Behm in lovely yarn the apprentice bought me in Europe. It will be pretty and its kinda addicting to knit.
I joined a Discord for an SCA youtube channel and I need to make and intro post but I thought it would be nice to capture that here to have it as a record.

Duchess or Kniagnia (Rus equivalent)
Pronouns: she/her
Where are you from: Atenveldt for almost two decades, Midrealm & Northshield for the 8ish years before that in a very tiny shire with no peers for hours.
How Long have you been in the SCA: fall of 1993
What drew you/keeps you in the SCA: I started cause the guy I was dating knew people and we went to an event, we broke up and I stayed. The people are what I really enjoy and what keeps me excited. I love the research and the pageantry and the camaraderie but people.
Fun Facts: Classically trained pianist and violist who decided engineering makes way more money and less tendinitis. Still have my grand piano and my viola and play occasionally. Published in the Tournaments Illuminated and the Knowne World Handbook.
Motto: "I shall walk carefully" taken from the Rus proverb of "The bar is far, but the church is near and the way is icy. I shall walk carefully."
