Its March, wth?
Mar. 2nd, 2021 01:11 pmWell, here we are at March 2021....Its been almost a year since this who weirdness began. Our last SCA event was Baronial Investiture here locally. Our B&B have been going almost a year virtually. I can't even imagine that after having done that job and I don't blame my crown for not having done a virtually coronation cause our heirs have never done any of this. But we will survive. Its giving us time to plan things (new tables for the hall, new things in the kitchen). I'm getting my "groove" back for arts...it took me working on the CCC and then knocking out the baronial bench painting that my muses are good and wanting to do things. I have a plan for the weekend to work on the big scroll with socially distanced BFF time on the porch. Its supposed to be 80F and that is perfect for me working. Plus I also cast on a "instant gratification" project of a cowl with a matching hat. Its in big squishy cashmere/wool yarn and size 8 needles. My current shawl project is on 3s. And its not half way yet though I keep plugging along. So, quick projects interspersed with big projects I think will get me to my goals. I have a plan to finish the big scroll by April 1st. I think if I get a good set of hours this weekend that should be doable. Then I want my shawl project done for my birthday.
So, in more Arts news I'm going to to an put in my list of all of the things I worked on in 2020-2021 plague, as in started since March 13th, 2020 and then finished.

flic.kr/p/2jLX3iP7) Spinning: flic.kr/p/2k3b81X, <need to add more pictures cause I've spun a bit>
So in all it has been productive and if you think about the fact that for the CCC I made 4 different pieces of clothing (1 was a mockup) and a hat, it was a lot. So not too bad honestly. Mel keeps a spreadsheet and I should too....Things to think about.
